George Jacobus was the head golf professional from 1914 until his death in 1965. During his tenure Jacobus was also the President of the PGA and the man most credited with bringing the 1935 Ryder Cup to Ridgewood Country Club. In 1935, Jacobus hired a 22-year-old from Texarkana named Byron Nelson to be an assistant golf professional at RCC. |
